Reuse, Reevaluate

This idea is from the Scavenger blog...

I used to be a scavenger, thrift store diva, yard sale prowler, and been blessed by finding need full things. But one day, just before one of our moves, I realized, I had way too much and made a mountain sized pile in the living room...called a local thrift store proprietor and told him he could have it all for free, just for picking up the pile. I had already carted 4 car loads to the Goodwill truck!
A feeling of great freedom and liberation came over me and it changed my mentality toward accumulating and possessions.
Now, I think in the line of, how much do I need this, is it useful to my life and duties? Because I am an artistic person, I think of who made something and how it makes us feel to see it. Because I am a nostalgic person, it must inspire us or remind us of things good to have something near.
Re-use, re-appoint, restore, revive...good reasons to frequent the yard sales, thrift stores and junk shops. Save money, save the planet...
I think I'm gonna keep the link to this Scavenger blog...it inspires.
