We gave my daughter a Mother's Day off, to attend the New Orlean's Jazz Festival. We spent the day wood working with our grandchildren, giving them the freedome to create out of wood. PawPaw was very patient and this experience will build confidence in these boys to attempt and hopefully, enjoy woodworking all their lives! We had a blast! Careful construction, with steady hands! I finally (Yay!!!) located the decals which were originally on the chairs of the 1920's kitchenette which Tom's grandmother gave us years ago. found them on the Etsy site of Archepelago Vintage! Just wanted to post a picture of our Dining room. In this small cave-like townhouse, there is one room which lights up with the morning sun, the dining room. I had to let my grandsons get into the rain and play. It really was a down pour yesterday. I remember when my boys were younger and would hunt to find particle boards to put into the rain filled ditches and try to float. What sounds like a table saw cutting a piece of formica is loud and eminates from the tree tops. Is it a tree frog, or a locust ? It is not quiet outside. I Just wanted to share that information.From down here in the steam heat, North of Lake Ponchartrain, in Louisiana...good night!

Well I heard that the Secret Recipe for the famous donut was aquired by Mr. Rudolph, when he purchased a bakery in Kentucky and the secret donut recipe from a Chef from New Orleans...interesting. I wonder what that Chef's decendents, if he has decendents, think about the fame of that recipe today.
